Hemp Harvest set to double from 2018
There's already been over 500,000 acres licensed for hemp cultivation this year, and It's currently estimated that there will be close to 140,000 acres of hemp harvested. That is almost double the 78,000 acres that were harvested in 2018! There's nowhere near enough processing labs to handle all them hemp that's going to be harvested from these farms! This is going to create an even larger processing bottleneck than there was last year! It is going to be a wild 18 months and we are here to help you navigate the waters!

USDA to begin offering Crop Insurance on Hemp in 2020!
This is HUGE NEWS! Farmers finally being able to get crop insurance on their hemp crops is going to open the floodgates for farmers that have been nervous about converting their farms to hemp because of the horror stories they've heard regarding other farms losing their entire crop to random natural disasters. With as big of a jump as 2019 took in hemp cultivation, look for 2020 to take an even larger leap!

Crops testing is a struggle in Wisconsin
Wisconsin is one of many states struggling with crops testing hot. However, the farmers in this article seem to feel it's more the fault of the state department testers not being able to come out in time to test their material that's causing the crop to come in hot. When you're supposed to be tested 30 days before harvest time but the testers can sometimes take 30 days to even make it out there once you've requested a date, it can cause problems. This issue has DRASTIC impact on farmers all across the country and it needs to be addressed.
