Now you have your crop out of the field; you need to stabilize your biomass. There are many ways to stabilize the biomass, but the easiest way is to dry it. Air drying is an option, but less practical for large quantities of biomass and it's more difficult to control the variables. The moisture content of your crop needs to be reduced to fight against mold, bacteria and pests.
Closed drying systems reduce the risk of contamination issues and provides the best results.
